MIID is implementing the project ‘Resilient Mountain Solutions in Myanmar’ in partnership with The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). The overall goal of the project is to enhance the resilience of women and men in hilly and mountainous regions to socioeconomic and environmental changes, including climate change.

The project is generating and promoting the use of new knowledge on resilience building solutions through action research and pilots studies. MIID is collaborating and developing capacities of local and national institutions to out scale and upscale project initiatives that support resilience to climate vulnerability and create opportunities for people in mountainous areas.

The project research and activities are implemented from May 2019 – December 2021 in villages in Southern Shan, including the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone.
